I'm excited to announce the latest release of intel collector, my #python based threat intelligence aggregator project. I've added a new intel source as well as some input validation functionality. A quick tour of what's new in v1.0.4➡️ 1/🧵 https://t.co/LC2G750dOL
New intel source! This release adds support for the @Netlas_io API for querying domains and IP addresses. 2/🧵 https://t.co/dKAGF1iwJ6
A feature I've been wanting to add for a while: input validation! I've added a validation library to check for properly formatted domain names, IP addresses, and file hashes. IP addresses will also be checked to ensure they are not private IPs. 3/🧵 https://t.co/CB31arwO62
I've also started cleaning up the code base for the project. My primary goal in this release was to remove excessive variables within each function. I'm planning to do additional code cleanup in subsequent releases. 4/🧵
You can find intel collector on @github. I have a lot to learn about python and greatly appreciate all of the feedback and support I've received from the #infosec community on this project!
